Compassion -Psalms 135:13-14

"Your name, O LORD, endures forever, Your fame, O LORD, throughout all generations. For the LORD will judge His people, and He will have compassion on His servants."

In the Light of Your Countenance -Psalms 89:13-15

"You have a mighty arm; Strong is Your hand, and high is Your right hand. Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; Mercy and truth go before Your face. Blessed are the people who know the joyful sound! They walk, O LORD, in the light of Your countenance."

God is the Judge -Psalms 75:7

"But God is the Judge: He puts down one, and exalts another."

Judge the People Righteously -Psalms 67:3-4

"Let the peoples praise You, O God; Let all the peoples praise You. Oh, let the nations be glad and sing for joy! For You shall judge the people righteously, and govern the nations on earth."

Wait for Him -Isaiah 30:18

"Therefore the LORD will wait, that He may be gracious to you; And therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you. For the LORD is a God of justice; Blessed are all those who wait for Him."

Faithful to Forgive -1 John 1:9

This promise is a great reminder of God's mercy and forgiveness...if we confess our sin, God will faithfully forgive us and entirely cleanse us from our sins. We serve a great God!

"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 

Always Righteous -Zephaniah 3:5

This is an interesting verse. Surrounding it we hear about how wicked Jerusalem is, and the judgement from God that is about to come. And then this is in the middle:

"The LORD is righteous in her midst, He will do no unrighteousness. Every morning He brings His justice to light; He never fails, But the unjust knows no shame."

All around we hear about how sinful Jerusalem is, and then we see this clear promise that God is always righteous...We are faithfully unrighteous, and God is faithfully righteous.

It's also amazing to realize that this faithful righteousness was imputed to us through Jesus' death on the Cross...

Justice for the Oppressed -Psalms 103:6

The next verse in Psalms 103...

"The Lord executes righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed."

Prepare their Heart -Psalms 10:17-18

"Lord, You have heard the desire of the humble; You will prepare their heart; You will cause Your ear to hear, To do justice to the fatherless and the oppressed, That the man of the earth may oppress no more."
