The Lord is Good -Psalms 100:4-5

"Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations."

He Is Faithful To Do It -1 Thessalonians 5:23-24

"Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it."

What a great prayer...

The LORD Will Perfect -Psalms 138:8

"The LORD will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O LORD, endures forever; Do not forsake the works of Your hands."

Revealing His Secret -Amos 3:7

"Surely the Lord GOD does nothing, Unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets."

This is an important promise to remember, especially now...

God has revealed Himself through His prophets, which was then recorded in the Bible. Since we know that the era of prophecy is over, if we hear something that contradicts the Bible, we can know that it is inaccurate.

The Father of Lights -James 1:17

This verse to me is a reminder to focus...any time that I lose track, and start to focus on the world, this verse points me back to reality. True happiness only comes from God. I really like the picturesque description used for God in this verse..."The Father of Lights." Jesus truly is "The Light of the world."

"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning."

This really is an incomplete thought, however, so go read James, especially James 1! That will give a better perspective to this encouraging promise.

The Lord Loves You -Deuteronomy 7:6-8

"For you are a holy people to the LORD your God; the LORD your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth. The LORD did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any other people, for you were the least of all peoples; but because the LORD loves you, and because He would keep the oath which He swore to your fathers, the LORD has brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you from the house of bondage, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt."

I think these verses can be applied to us as Christians...God didn't choose us because we were anything special, He chose us because He loves us, and because He keeps His Word, the promise He made to Abraham years ago.

Never Changing -Hebrews 13:8

Promises that God has made, He will keep; regardless if they were made in the New or Old Testament. How do we know this? Because God never changes.

"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever."
