"In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence, having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth - in Him."

Wait For and Seek Him -Lamentations 3:25-26
I didn't really write anything about the verses I posted yesterday, so today's post kinda will include something I wanted to share from the last post...
I found these verses so amazing in Lamentations....these verses are dead smack right in the middle of judgement God was proclaiming towards Jerusalem for all of their sin. And in seeing the verses I posted about last night, it gave complete new meaning to the phrase "Great is Your Faithfulness." That even in the midst of God's Judgment towards Israel, God was faithful to show mercy. He could of just killed them instantly. However, as the verses said about God's compassions, "They are new every morning." Wow.
Which brings me to the verses I wanted to share tonight.
These verses reminds us to wait on Him, to seek Him. As we do that, we can rest in God's goodness promised towards us.
Wait for the Salvation of the Lord!

"The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, To the soul who seeks Him. It is good that one should hope and wait quietly For the salvation of the Lord."If only our reaction when we went through tough times wasn't to try to work through things on our own strength, or to seek man's wisdom...

The Steps of a Good Man -Psalms 37:23-24
Happy New Year! I thought these verses from Psalms 37 would be an encouraging way to start the new year...
May God Bless you, and may you see Him at work in your life this upcoming year!
"The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, And He delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For the Lord upholds him with His hand."Our steps are ordered by God! And when we fall, it's not a "forever fall", God upholds us with His hand. What a promise!
May God Bless you, and may you see Him at work in your life this upcoming year!

God's Plans Last -Psalms 33:10-12
"The Lord brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; He makes the plans of the peoples of no effect. The counsel of the Lord stands forever, The plans of His heart to all generations. Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, The people He has chosen as His own inheritance."Three promises in this passage today...

Directing our Paths....Proverbs 3:5-6
This is a good reminder to lean on God...when we trust Him with our whole heart, He promises to lead us...
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths."

All Things...-Romans 8:28
This well-known verse is a great reminder of how God is in control. And since He is in control, we know that whatever happens will ultimately bring glory to Him.
"And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose."

To Everything there is a Purpose..His Purpose. -Ecclesiastes 3:11
Today I got the opportunity to hear a message on Ecclesiastes 3. It gave me a perspective on the verse that I'm sharing that I don't think I've really had before.
The message I heard was mainly on verses 1-8 of the passage, which is the section where it goes into how there are different times and seasons (times of life and death, times of love and hate, times to weep and laugh, ect.).
To be completely honest, I'm not sure why I hadn't thought of what I'm about to share before.
Even when we face trials and sorrows in this life, verse eleven tells us that God makes everything beautiful in it's time. God takes those hardships and trials in our life, those times when we are working through sin in our lives, and turns it into something beautiful, something that brings glory to Him. And He gives us as Christians the honor of being able to live out that "beautiful" life, which really is the honor of giving all that glory to Him, since it was God's doing in the first place.
God takes all of the good and bad, and makes each season lovely and perfect in it's own time.
Satan meant the trials in our life for evil, but God meant it for good.
...Yes, I was just thinking of the story of Joseph in the Bible. :)
"He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end."
