However, God is a faithful God. And God promises in verse 10 that He will restore the Children of Israel.
"Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured or numbered. And it shall come to pass in the place where it was said to them, 'You are not My people,' There it shall be said to them, 'You are sons of the living God.'"As Christians, we need to understand that sin is a serious thing. We are directly rebelling against the God of the universe. However, we also need to remember God's promise to us, that God will restore those who are His.
We were once not His people, but through Jesus' death on the cross we are now "sons of the living God."
You know, when I look at my life, and all of my sin, I can't help but think that we are the great restoration project...
...great as in "huge", not great as in "amazing". :)
